You know, thank God for MySpace. It has this handy feature where it sends you notices when its someone’s birthday. And I’ve saved myself from some dangerously close calls! When time is of the essence, My Pop Art offers gift certificates that I can get to someone quickly. And its not only the speed I appreciate, its the uniqueness of the gift. When I send off a gift certificate from My Pop Art, people are always pleasantly surprised. It’s truly a gift like no other, allowing them to make creative choices and ultimately providing them with a piece of art that is distinctly theirs.

MySpace recently told me my friend Aaron’s birthday was fast approaching. I quickly went online and ordered him a gift certificate sent to his home in San Francisco. (They also use this cool envelope to send it in, making it seem even more artsy.) When Aaron received it, he said he spent an hour trying to find just the right photo. He wanted something really special up on his wall, with a cool Pop Art effect. What photo did he choose? His dog Sally.

I’m not quite sure why but he seemed happy about his choice. He now has a framed piece of Pop Art on his wall, representing his canine friend. He also says that all of his friends love it. It’s one of the first things they notice when they walk in the door.

So check your MySpace birthdays and see if someone special has a birthday approaching. You could “save the day” with a My Pop Art, gift certificate!

My Pop Art for the Fellow Artist

As an artist, it’s not always easy for me to buy presents for my other creative friends. That’s why I’m so pleased My Pop Art is a keystroke away. Many of many friends involved in creative fields are actually very picky. They don’t like anything “standard” or run of the mill. Nor do I like buying them something that doesn’t tickle their fancy. In other words, it makes me look like a rather, er, uncreative person if I can’t think of something creative to give them. Sure – it’s a contest sometimes!

But My Pop Art allows me to send them an affordable, creative present that they are all sure to enjoy.

Take Tom for instance: he’s a visual, multi-media artist. Very talented, very busy. When I visit him, his apartment is always a hodgepodge of creativity – cool little knick-knacks, sculptures and of course, his giant work hanging about the walls.

I sent a photograph of him as a child into My Pop Art. He looked as innocent and sweet as could be, before New York City made him an ultra-hipster! When I brought him the final piece, he was in shock. He hadn’t seen the photo in years, let alone in Pop Art fashion. It really choked him up a bit. He now keeps it right near his bed and looks at it every morning. He says it helps me remind him how it all began.

Well, that’s how My Pop Art can help out, with your more creative batch of friends!
