Pop Art – Celebrating your Family and Friends during the Holidays

The wonderful thing about a family Pop Art portrait during the holidays is the way it unifies. Even the most splintered and stressed families appreciate their depiction in fine, bold Pop Art form. It’s celebratory and fun – even when the family is not feeling particularly “celebratory and fun!”

My Pop Art does the hard work for you. You simply send in a well-composed and well-lit photograph of your family and they can create a work guaranteed to cheer up even the most painstaking of family gatherings.

Oh…maybe I’m being negative. Why do I have such a pervasively bleak picture of the holiday? Family gatherings can be fun and hectic in the best of ways. Often they can seem like a fun, little whirlwind – more like a tornado…you don’t even know what hit you. And of course, there’s a lovely comfortability that you share with your family. After all, they’ve known you for quite some time.

Perhaps the difficulty begins when we try too hard to be something we’re not. We see all these picturesque depictions of families portrayed on TV and somehow, our family seems to “fall short.” So people start compensating. They start forcing happiness (which is always a painful thing!) Maybe the idea is to embrace your family (or friends – we shouldn’t all assume that people have families to visit. For many, their friends have become their family) and all of the dysfunction. Heck, maybe it’s a great time to celebrate all of the strange idiosyncrasies.

A My Pop Art piece for your family, of your family, does just that. It shows off your bold and wild glory, for better or for worse. Pop Art gives that comic distance that we often need during the holidays!
