You know, for as much as I like decorating my house, I always felt like my bathroom got the short end of the stick. It just wasn’t very exciting to decorate. My living room has a giant fireplace, which I consider the centerpiece to the house, so of course it was easy to add all sorts of nice touches. The fireplace itself has these beautiful stone structures that I’ve placed around the mantelpiece. My kitchen is the main part of my home so that was the easiest to decorate, with orange lace curtains (which looks better than it sounds, believe me!) and soft yellow wallpaper with intricate design.

But back to my bathroom. In a word? Dull. My husband painted it grey for some unknown reason. It gets very little light since there is only one small window which doesn’t get much light throughout the day. Our bathroom is also kinda cramped and smaller than your average bathroom.

We already spent a good deal of money this year getting the rest of the house “more fashionable” so I needed something simple. I ordered a Limited Edition from My Pop Art and I can’t tell you how much difference it makes. I swear, it acts like a source of light in there, it’s so bright and inviting. It’s a purple and yellow image - it looks like a flower but often looks like many other things to me, depending on my mood. And it actually really works nicely against the grey walls.
