My New Pop Art Car

When I graduated high school, my dad bought the best car ever: a 69 Chevy convertible. Sparkling baby blue. Growing up, my dad and I worked on old cars together. I knew I was getting a car for graduation but this was incredible! I think my Dad was as psyched about it as I was. The first day we were under the hood, taking a look at the underside of this baby and how to keep it purring! My dad had an additional gift, which I thought was pretty cool: he had taken a photo of the car and sent it into My Pop Art so they could…pop artify it! It was a great shot and the artwork was bright and funky, with these crazy colors. He thought it would be perfect for my dorm room. It ended up being the very first thing I put up on the wall. This way, when someone asks, I can say, “Yep, that’s my car!.” Now even when my car is in the garage, I feel like its right there with me. I know that sounds weird, because its only a car. But really…this car is not only a car - its a very special car. I wouldn’t be so keen on it otherwise. Thanks Dad. I’m thinking of buying a motorcycle next. I think the Pop Art piece up on the wall needs a brother. I’m thinking Harley but I’ll have to wait and see. I guess tuition comes first. What a drag!
