My Pop Art for Early Romance

When my niece discovered her first love, our whole family was thrilled. Tina is a very shy 17-year old. She loves to read books and watch old movies. She likes gardening and knitting. She’s not your average teenager. When all the girls were going to dances, Tina was at home trying out a new cake recipe. She seemed quite unconcerned with boys…until Andrew came along. That’s when I got my camera out and caught it all for Pop Art’s sake!

Andrew works at the gardening center up the street. He, too, is shy. They must have met a dozen times before my niece even mustered up the energy to even say to her. When she did, he happily responded, as if he’d been waiting for it for months (which he probably was!) Soon, they go on small dates with one another, mostly pertaining to gardening of some sorts - visiting a botanical garden or an organic farm.

I was thrilled to capture a beautiful shot of the new couple, standing in front of a blooming forsythia bush. They both have smiles a mile-wide. It’s the kind of shot that makes everyone happy, when they see it. I sent it to My Pop Art and gave the final product to my niece, who almost cried! She happily tore down her kitty poster and replaced it with her new beau and her, smiling in front of a flowering bush. Lovely! My little niece was growing up and I’m happy to have it captured in a pretty, distinctive art piece.
