What kind of pictures or images will work to get you the pop art masterpiece you’ve been craving for? If you’re not sure and want to find out, then this is the most important blog post you’ll read all week long. In order for you to make your pop art portrait a success, you’ll want to:

Pick a picture that has some kind of emotion to it
Pick a picture that you like
Make sure that the picture has no shadows or obstructions
Choose a picture that has detail
Take close ups so that your main object of interest is going to stand out

This is not hard to achieve, if you don’t already have some pictures in your collection that fit the criteria above. Your pop art masterpiece will be perfect once you’ve got these things in place. If you don’t have a picture already, then you can simply take your digital camera and snap some pictures. For example, if you want a pop art portrait of your baby, then try different poses and various elemental situations. Try taking a picture while the baby is playing with his toys inside with the indoor lights on. Try taking pictures of the baby outside while he is crawing and playing in the sand box with the sun shining.

You could also try taking pictures of the baby while he is sleeping. Do about 10 to 12 snapshots of each kind of situation. That way you have a large portion of pictures to choose from, and within about 20 or 30 snapshots, there should be at least 1 or 2 really good ones that you can use for the pop art portrait.
